Hockey Gear, Oh My…
There may be no more disgusting thing in the world than a hockey bag full of equipment. Think about it, here is what happens…
1) Player wears skates, shin pads, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, helmet, and gloves.
2) Player sweats profusely. Seriously have you ever seen a hockey player that wasn’t drenched in sweat?
3) Player removes gear and throws it in a hockey bag.
4) Bag remains closed until the next practice or game sometimes in the trunk of a car, or a garage (no way mom’s letting that bag in the house).
5) Repeat.
If your lucky, some people pull the gear out with hopes that it will dry out. Some may spray it with fabreze or lysol. But either way, gear gets wet and typically stays in a dark place. This is nirvana for microbes. BIOSAFE has been tested by hockey players and they are thrilled with the results. The key is to protect the gear with BIOSAFE so that the dirt, filth and microbes don’t have a home to fester. You’ll be surprised, protection goes a long way in keeping your gear clean and fresh.

I have sprayed my son’s hockey gear down with Biosafe and it has kept the smell away. I also have used it in the washer when I wash his shirt and that seems to work as well — I at least feel better about him wearing it multiple days in a row for practice without being rewashed.
I wish they had this stuff when I was in highschool those Locker rooms would get pretty Smelly and god knows what bacteria was lingering.
As a father it gives me some peace of mind knowing that I have biosafed his gear.
